While their goals are important, Extinction Rebellion has been accused of being mostly White and middle-class and making little effort to include activists from Black and Brown communities.

Come up with an idea that inspires Black Gen Zers to join Extinction Rebellion.
the insight
Though climate change is a very serious issue for everyone many people don't know that climate change affects POCs at a higher rate.
The Idea
“In Loving Memory”
This idea incorporates a giant PR stunt we call the longest funeral procession. We take the streets of DC and show the world the outcome of POC if climate change isn’t addressed. We end with a direct call to action getting black Gen-Z to join, while also placing a casket at the door of the capital covered in all the names of the black Americans we have lost due to their ignorance of climate change.

Program invitations will be sent out with pages of names listed and their climate change-related causes of death.

This march will symbolize what a funeral procession filled with black Americans will look like if we don't do something about climate change.
